Maybe it is just me (its always hard to know if your normal is to other people strangeness lol), but I have always had a passion to learn and perfect and re-assess and attempt to master subjects and interests that I am drawn to. Photography had been a steeper hill that first imagined, yet it has been more enjoyable than expected. The stress and burden I feel at every wedding to do the bride and groom justice is always overtaken by the wide smiles and beaming faces I see when they first see their photos.
It is amazing that people who were strangers months before could not only book me for their wedding photographs, christenings and portraits but on many occasion become friends.
As I thought about this I felt it is so true. I am a virtual stranger to couples looking through my facebook, website or this blog. So I want to use the blog not just to highlight the work I produce, but to personalise it more.
I will be writing about things that matter to me, things like health and fitness, cooking, stories that impress me, fashion, or highlights and news surrounding the latest trends in weddings.
I hope this will be interesting and/or useful to those who read or at least give a little insight about me as a person.
In my old blog CM Weddings & Portraits I wrote about judging the best wedding photographer for you. In it I stated that the cheapest or even the dearest may not necessarily be the best, simply because your entire day will be inescapable from the personality of the photographer you book, regardless of the price. The last thing any couple need in that unique and memorable day is the lasting recollection of the day ruined through a professional photographer either taking over your day to satisfy is own agenda, or worse having one with the personality of a wet fish!! No matter how good their photographs are in their display, nothing will erase the memory of their interaction with you that day.
Having said all that, I’m reasonably priced, relaxed, gifted and as nice as pie, as my mother says! So buckle your seat belts pull up the laptop and get the kettle on!
