Low Key, High Key, they are terms that don’t have a particular relevance or meaning to many clients. But for a photographer, they are images that can create atmosphere, beauty, drama and life.
I want to be able to not only capture these tones for my own pleasure, but I know there are some absolutely beautiful effects that can really highlight a model for portrait photography.
And so I had a few minutes spare this evening, and Esha had just got clipped and was be as naughty as ever, so I grabbed her for a bit of a modelling session for me to try out a low key image.
She is a real handful and those who follow me will have seen images of her from she was a pup through her life.
I don’t know if it is typical of most dogs but she will look at you then when you put the camera up she looks away. So to get her attention I’m telling her about the cats, treats, and relatives who she runs to, but as I’m doing all this she is looking at me with a “yea right” look in her eyes lol
But for a 10 minute attempt it looked well and I’m now looking forward to trying this out on a slightly less hairy model !!
Anyway, hope you like it never mind the face Esha is pulling!! lol
